Waist-to-Hip Ratio Calculator
Calculate your waist-to-hip ratio and see your cardiovascular risk category. WHR is a stronger predictor of heart disease than BMI (WHO, INTERHEART study).

Why WHR matters: The INTERHEART study (Yusuf et al., 2005 — 52 countries, 27,000 participants) found waist-to-hip ratio was a stronger predictor of heart attack risk than BMI. WHR captures abdominal fat distribution, which is more closely linked to cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes.
How to measure: Use a flexible tape measure. Waist: measure at the narrowest point, usually just above the navel (belly button), at the end of a normal breath. Hip: measure at the widest point of your buttocks. Keep the tape horizontal and snug but not compressing the skin.
